He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas B. Keener and L. B. Keener (Yingling); his wife Barbara Keener (Kiessling); and his brothers, Thomas and Robert Keener.
He is survived by: his sons, Stephen D. Keener (Cheryl) of Williamsport and Michael R. Keener (Marie) of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Josh Keener (Emily), Nick Keener (Nancy), Maggie Keener, Jessica Burnham (Jim), Ashley Wolfe (Travis), Kristen Malecki (Bob), Sam Keener and Grace Keener; his close friend Rita Little; and his caregiver Lou Knapp. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
