He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Junior and Shirley Jean Smith (Miller); and his siblings, Tina Marie Detwiler, Melvin L. Smith, James S. Smith and John Wayne Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Audra Jean (Smith), Podrasky (Greg), April Marie Lee (Smith) and Christopher Lee Smith; and his brother Richard E. Smith of Williamsburg. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
