He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon L. "Cork" and Wilma D. Gardner (Lynn); his stepson J. R. Whitsle; his sister Nancy Estep; and his nephews, Steven L. Gardner Jr. and Zachary Kunsman.
He is survived by: his son Kenny R. Gardner of Hollidaysburg; his grandchildren, Christian Gardner, Nathan Gardner and Aden Conley; and his siblings, Gordon L. "Bim" Lynn (Judy) of Canoe Creek, Steven L. Gardner (Patricia) of Hollidaysburg, Pamela Sipes (Russ) of Duncansville and Molly Bush (Jim) of Altoona. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
