He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent E. Hoover and Julia Ruth Hoover (Sparr). He is survived by: his children, Frank A. (Mary Lou Sigler) of Reedsville, Lou Ann of Sproul, Janet K. (Ray Crotsley) of Altoona, John "Ed" Jr. (Kim) of Williamsburg and Ken W. (Silke) of Hollidaysburg; his grandchildren, Jay Hoover (Sara), Jessica Beals (Tim) and Noah Hoover; his great grandchildren, Cameron, Alaina and Owen; and his nieces, Mary Frances Brant, Virginia Huston and Sarah Mumma.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to the Williamsburg Fire Company or Williamsburg Public Library.
