He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Allison and Nancy Sollenberger Allison; his siblings, Josephine Allison, Milda Allison, Vernon Allison (Sarah), Elroy Allison (Joan) and Benjamin Allison; and his son-in-law Roger Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Diehl; his children, Jim Allison (Cindy) of Indiana, PA, Joyce Butler of Gainesville, FL and Linda Harbison (Jerry) of Allentown, PA; his grandchildren, Heidi Davies (Trevor) of Annville, PA, Emily Houseknecht (Justin) of Hollidaysburg, PA, Kristin Smiley (TJ) of Templeton, PA, Megan Escobar-Martin (David) of Bethel Park, PA and Ryan Harbison of Lynchburg, VA; his great grandchild Madelyn Houseknecht; and his brother Richard Allison (Marlene) of Martinsburg, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
