He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. J. and Ruth Elizabeth Bookhammer (Bird); and his son Donald Eugene Stubbs. He is survived by: his daughter Virginia "Jenny" Bookhammer of Altoona; his daughter-in-law Kimberly Stubbs of Williamsburg; his grandsons, Draven, Damian and Damon Stubbs; his siblings, James "Andy" of Williamsburg, Terry Bookhammer of Williamsburg, Patty Wilson of Bedford and Georgette Strub of Oklahoma; and his former wife Naomi Bookhammer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
