He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Jean Updyke; his children, Sharon A. Burns (Timothy Snare) of Piney Ridge, Carl Douglas Shultz of Williamsburg and Troy A. Shultz (Teresa) of Williamsburg; his son-in-law Lee Everts of Maryland; and his grandchildren, Ashlee Shultz, Randi Farringer, Briana Beck, Cody Quarry, Tiffani Rupert, Jordyn Shultz, Wade Shultz and Ridge Shultz. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
