She was predeceased by: her sons, Richard Jr. and Lawrence Jr.; her parents, Walter Buttner Sr. and Stella Mae Buttner (Fluck); and her siblings, Joan C. Smith and Walter Buttner Jr..

She is survived by: her husband Lawrence "Mike" Diehl; her children, Douglas (Kerry Febbo) of Williams Township, Michele Mohr (Alan) of Zionsville, Lorrene Walters (Ron) of West Easton and Walter (Sharon) of Williams Township; and her sister Darlene Howey of Bangor. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter.
