She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruno Balest and Rose Balest (Nagoda). She is survived by: her husband John Carbone; her daughters, Caren Hergenroeder (Matt), Catherine Emhuff (Jeff) and Maria Smith (Chad); her grandchildren, Thomas, Andrew, Joseph, Lia, Sydney and Matthew; and her sister Marilyn [Robert] Greece. She is also survived by several cousins, four nieces, and a nephew.
