He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jean Weir Burns; his children, Corinna Burns of Philadelphia, PA. and Conor J. Burns; his daughter-in-law Maria Sullivan; his grandchildren, Theresia of Toronto, ON and Emmett Burns of Toronto, ON; his daughter Jessica Burns; his granddaughter Marguerite Davis of Charlottesville, VA.; his siblings, Terrence Burns (Elizabeth Corby Burns) of Lawrenceville, NJ and Marianne Cernosek (Larry Cernosek) of Crofton, MD.; and his parents, John Burns and Dorothy Burns (Grey). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
Because of Covid-19 restrictions, family commemorations will be held privately at this time, with a later memorial and reunion in John's honor.
