He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Simmers and Laura Roberts Simmers; his wife Miriam Irene Kaiser Simmers; his son Wesley B. Simmers, Jr.; and his sisters, Margaret Mullen and Carol Skumanich.
He is survived by: his son Richard C. Simmers (Lynn); his daughter-in-law Rita Simmers; his grandchildren, Patrick Simmers (Karen), Kingston, Christopher Simmers (Sabrina), Easton, Sean Simmers (Alicia) and Kyle Simmers (Becca) of Baltimore, MD; his great grandchildren, Alyssa Simmers, Andrew Simmers, Azalee Stauffer, Mikayna Stauffer, Derien Jefferson and Everly Simmers; and his brother Robert Simmers (Sue) of Killeen, TX. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
