We are sad to announce that on May 27, 2018, at the age of 96, Sophie Piekara (Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Anthony Jarmolowski; her husband John A. Piekara; and her brothers, Anthony Jarmolowski, Stanley Jarmolowski, Frank Jarmolowski, Chester Jarmolowski, Joseph Jarmolowski, Leo Jarmolowski, John Jarmolowski and Edward Jarmolowski.
She is survived by: her parent Emily Jarmolowski; her sons, John J. Piekara of Shavertown, Wilkes-Barre Piekara of Shavertown and Edward Piekara (Lita) of Shavertown; her grandchildren, Maurisa Dallis, John, Edward and Kevin Piekara; her great grandchildren, Adelyn Piekara and Carter Piekara; her sister Helen Kulesza (Joseph); and also Wilkes-Barre.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
