It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Ann (Omalia) Purta (Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania), who passed away on February 17, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence O'Malia and Helen O'Malia (Stockunas); her husband Francis J. Purta, Jr.; her granddaughter Melanie Marie Rhodes; and her brothers, Lawrence and Robert O'Malia.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Krumov (Krasimir) and Francis J. Purta, III (Mary); her grandchildren, Jill Long (Jason) and Brian Rhodes; and her great grandchildren, Brooke, Matthew Long and Lillian Ruth Krumov. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, restrictions have been put in place. Those attending the visitation, we ask that you be brief when paying your respects, please follow the practice of social distancing, and masks are required at all times at the church.
