He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Gayda and Mary Gayda (Ksenak); his wife Elizabeth K. "Betty" Gayda (Kadlecik); and his brothers, Nicholas and John Gayda.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon E. Breiner (late Jay Breiner) of Lansford and Susan A. Rickert (Tom) of Coaldale; his sister Mary Pituch (Victor) of Nesquehoning; and his granddaughter Courtney Rickert.
