With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine A. Svetz (Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania), born in Hanover Township, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 19, 2018 at the age of 98. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Katherine A. Svetz to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parent Joseph Drank; her husband John Svetz; her stepson-in-law John Shulo; and her siblings, Joseph Drank, Anna Helinski and Bernadette Cook.

She is survived by: her parent Anna Drank (Tarutis); her stepdaughter Marianne Shulo of Plains Township; her siblings-in-law, Joseph Svetz of Bear Creek and Margaret Kordek of Wilkes-Barre; and her nieces and nephews, Bernadette Murphy, Diane Drank, Lisa Drank, Joseph, David, James, Michael Drank and Thomas Helinski.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Church.
