He is survived by: his daughter Gina Archer (Brian); his granddaughters, Emily, Cate and Elizabeth; his siblings, Stephen Malast and Christine Murphy (Fred); his nieces and nephews, Jeanean Freeland (Cindy), Tina Luff (Ted), Martha Gensel (Allen), Stephanie Marbukh (Alex), Krystle Murphy, Mila Marbukh, Zack Yordy, Logan and Dakota Gensel; his stepdaughter Nancy Lewandowski (James); his stepgranddaughter Katie; and his stepsons, Charles Hick (Megan) and David Hick (Beckey).

A graveside service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary's Cemetery (1594 S Main St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18706).
