He was predeceased by: his father Ronald Birkenhead; his son Richard; his niece Angela Marie Daniels; and his parents-in-law, James Fisher and Helen Fisher.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Fisher; his daughter Victoria Smith (Paul); his grandsons, Tyler, Zachary Smith and Bradley Smith of West Wyoming; his sister Judy Birkenhead of College Park, MD; his sister-in-law Michaelle Stanek of Kalispell, MT; his nieces, Debra Huestis (Jason), Patricia Albert (Adam) of Montana, Abbey Miller (Dane) of Idaho and Kate White (Eric) of Pennsylvania; and his nephew Michael Daniels of Idaho. He is also survived by several great nieces and great nephews and his cousins.
