Gerard A. Meehan Obituary

In loving memory of Gerard A. Meehan (Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania), who departed this world on December 27, 2024 at the age of 72. Gerard leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Meehan and Margaret Meehan (McAllister); his brother John Meehan; and his brother-in-law Anthony Baker. He is survived by: his wife Mary Joan Hoinsky; his son Jared Meehan (Ellen); his grandson Everett Meehan (Kingston); his sisters, Marianne Baker of Milford, PA, Kathleen Joyce (John) and Margaret Rainey (Frank); and his siblings-in-law, Jennifer Meehan and Jim Hoinsky (Joyce). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc. (20 S Main St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 9:30 AM and at 6:30 PM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saints Peter & Paul Church (13 Hudson Rd, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705).
