He is survived by: his parent Nellie Stapleton Burney; his wife Sharon Burney of Wilkes-Barre; his son Gary Arnold Burney Jr.; his wife Nadine of Pittston; his daughters, Dawn Slimak (David) of Orlando, Tara Burney and Chuck Lamoreaux of Forty Fort; his siblings, Donald Burney (Christine) of Interlachen, Glorious Ann Montgomery of Fort McCoy and Melissa Serrono of East Palatka; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Culver (Megan) of Yokosuka, Japan, Elizabeth, Ariauna, Isabelle, Gary III, Araliese and Bradley.
