With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy M. Shendock of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, born in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 9, 2022 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Nemetz Sr. and Theresa Nemetz (Masonis); her husband George; her son George M. Shendock; and her siblings, Edward Nemetz, George W. Nemetz Jr., Richard Nemetz and Evelyn Dougherty.
She is survived by: her family Nemetz Bakery; her son Robert G. Shendock; and her sister Eleanor Hudak. She is also survived by her numerous nieces and nephews.
The family has kindly requested that all those attending Dorothy's funeral Mass wear a mask and observe social distancing regardless of vaccination status.
