It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Wren of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 28, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara Ann Wren to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah Gallagher and Doris Thomas Gallagher Angelo; her stepparents, Lucille Lamb Gallagher and Albert Angelo; and her siblings, Kathleen M. Gallagher Degnan (Eugene Degnan), Elijah E. Gallagher Sr. (Gertrude Minelli Gallagher) and William A. Angelo.
She is survived by: her husband Richard S. Wren Sr.; her children, Richard S. Wren Jr. (Holly Mayhue), Tammy E. Kellar (Gary), Timmy A. Wren Sr. (Melissa), Glen Lyon and Russell E. Wren (Amy); and also Rev. John S. Terry. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home (89 Park Ave, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Hope Parish (40 Park Ave, Wilkes-Barre Township, PA 18702). An entombment was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the Oak Lawn Cemetery (1250 S Main St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18706).
