We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Thomas F. Lavan of Wilkes Barre Township, Pennsylvania. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lavan and Marie Lavan (Lyall); his daughter Karen Lavan Bokelman; his siblings, John Lavan Sr., Charles Lavan, Gerald Lavan, James Lavan, William Lavan Sr., Mary Dugan and Regina Dotzel; and his siblings-in-law, Ella Lavan, Madeline Lavan and Fred Dotzel.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Stavish; his son Thomas J. Lavan (Patricia); his grandson James Lavan (Jimmy); his sister Margaret Krutski (Peggy); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Lavan, Anna Mae Lavan, Jane Lavan, Jeannie Frost, Janet Yatassaye and Stanley Stavish.
Those attending visitation must wear a mask and abide by the state social distancing guidelines. Due to the COVID -19 pandemic, a private Mass of Christian Burial for the family will be held in St. Nicholas Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tom's name to St. Mary Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, 3529 Saint Mary's Road, Wapwallopen, PA 18660 and/or St. Jude Parish, Church Building Fund, 420 S. Mountain Blvd, Mountain Top, PA 18707.
