He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur L. Bennett and Margaret E. Rhodes Bennett; his grandson Wyatt G. Mellquist; and his sisters, Pam and Sharon Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Christine M. Deibler; and his children, Dawn, Gregory Mellquist of Johnsonburg, Scott Bennett (Crista) of St. Marys, Stephen Bennett (Tara) of Rasselas and Eric Bennett (Kitty) of Johnsonburg. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
