With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Murphy of Wilburton, Pennsylvania, born in Ashland, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 25, 2024 at the age of 68. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene B. Murphy and LaRue Hoffman Murphy of Frackville; his children, Rachel Murphy and Cody Murphy; and his brother-in-law Allen E. Brennan.
He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia M. Brennan and Gene Murphy (Jane); his niece Seraphina Brennan (Ames); his grandchildren, Keira, Nova and Braedon; and his close friends, Sean Gownley and Shane Shingara.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Glioblastoma Foundation.
