He was predeceased by: his brothers, Daniel Mercaldo and James. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his stepdaughters, Christie Anna Lin Williamson (Shaun) and Amy Lin Rodriguez (Edwin); his grandson Andrew Lin Rodriguez; and his siblings, Stephen (Florence), Andrew (Betty) and Mary Hudson (David).

The family requests that memorial donations may be made to The Gideons International Processing Center, P.O. Box 97251, Washington, DC 20090-7251.
