He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Elsie (Jessen); his parents, Robert I. Steckel, and Ethelyn Steckel, Sr. (Bachman); his children, Robert J. Steckel, Sr. (Donna), David B. Steckel (Claudia) of Allentown and Christine M. Decker of Allentown; and his siblings, Barbara M. Etheridge of Phillipsburg and James Steckel of The Villages, FL. He was also cherished by five Grandchildren and six Great-Grandchildren.
