He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Kochan and Anna (Dytyniak). He is survived by: his wife Stefanie (Singura); his daughter Andrea Kochan Neagle; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Catherine and Alexander Neagle; and his brother Dr. Edward Kochan of Colorado. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in law, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the church in Orest's memory.
