It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John F. Payonk Sr. of Whitehall, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 30, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Anna (Gratzer); his parents, John Payonk and Catherine Payonk (Emerick); his son John Jr.; his son-in-law Barry Schuler; and his brothers, Frederick and Bernard.
He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Schuler and Cynthia Frisch; his grandchildren, Tiffany James (Pete), Brian Frisch (Wendy), Stacey Cook (Jess) and Brent Frisch; his stepgranddaughters, Felicia and Amanda; his daughter-in-law Sherri Payonk; and his sister Carolyn Hodle. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to Vet 2 Vet Service Dogs, P.O. Box 324, Coopersburg, PA 18036 in loving memory of John.
