He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy S. Schmoyer; his parents, Mervin Sr. Schmoyer and Edna Schmoyer; his son Larry; and his brothers, Mervin Jr. and Robert.
He is survived by: his sons, Ronald (Barbara), Bruce (Jane) and Jeffrey (Kathy); and his nieces and nephews, Susan Mensch and Lee Moyer (late Larry). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
