He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leona Berta (Sotler) and Roseanne (Silvagni); his children, Matthew Berta (Emily), Nicole Fish (Larry), Phillip Berta (Diane Reed) and Frank Berta (Andrea); his grandchildren, Logan Fish, Mia McGee, Vivienne Berta, Maura McGee, Lily Berta, Lilah Fish, Ruby Berta and Onyx Berta; his sisters, Karen Maselli (late Ralph) and Mary Gail Merlini (Scott); his siblings-in-law, Deborah Silvagni and Frank Silvagni (LeeAnn); his nieces and nephews, Jason Maselli, Jamie Maselli Smith (Brian), Gina Silvagni, Dominic Silvagni, Danielle Merlina and Sarah Merlina; and his great-niece Sophia Smith.
