With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darrell R. Merkel of Whitehall, Pennsylvania, born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 2, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl C. Merkel and Dorothy E. Nuss (Kinkaid); his wife Barbara A. Merkel (Correll); his children, David K. Merkel (Diane) of Allentown and Michelle A. Brown (Eric) of Brevard, NC; his brother Donald O. Merkel of Catasauqua; his grandchildren, Angela, Ashley and Spencer; his great grandchild Gianna; and his brother Charles E. Merkel.
