He was predeceased by: his parents, John Madeya and Justina Madeya. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Madeja (Bear); and his children, Bernard M. Madeja (Susanne), Judith Battenfield and Nancy Lambert. He is also survived by his wife and three children, Bernard leaves behind seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church c/o the funeral home.
