He was predeceased by: his wife Eileen T. Funtal (Schmitt); his close friend Mary Milinski; and his sister Catherine Krass. He is survived by: his daughters, Carol Ann Rockenstein (Joe), Janet Vanderslice (Scott) and Diane Skinkis (Loran); his grandchildren, Amanda Pearsol (Brian Alge), Amber Pearsol, Tony Pearsol, Kevin Skinkis and Audrey Skinkis; and his siblings, Joseph Funtal, Francis Funtal, Carl, Thomas, Andrew and Albert Funtal. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
