He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Mary Schmidt (Daerr); his son Brent Schmidt of Pleasant Hills; his stepchildren, John Hayden (Tammy) of Boston, Billy Hayden of Glassport, Danette Lees (Ricky) of Glassport and Christine Cochran (Rob) of Avonmore; and his grandchildren, Don, Donna Nguyen, Owen, Reid Beighley, Abby Schmidt, Cory Apel, Cody Hayden, Jessica Steiner, Alex Kalbrenner, Cassie Augustine, Kenna Hayden, Sage, Colton Koett, Preston Chrisman and Amanda Turkovic. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
