He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Patricia Ann Stern (Del Rosso); his child Laurel Lee Stern (Ben Waite); his siblings, Sherry Lee Esasky (Michael), Kim Bilinsky (Alan) and Lea Marie Stern; his godsons, Adam Bilinsky, Andrew Bilinsky and Alexis Mehlik; his sister-in-law Antoinette Del Rosso (Joe Mehalik); and also Daniella Artman (Michael).
