He was predeceased by: his parents, Ebenezer Joiner and Edna Minick Joiner; and his sisters, Shirley Nelson and Florence Williams. He is survived by: his sons, Curtiss L. Joiner, Jr., Derald Joiner and Kenny Hampton; and his siblings, William, Henry, Richard, James, David Joiner, Nancy Pierce, Patty Craig (Gary) and Linda Joiner. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers his family suggests memorial donations be made to Summerville Library.
