He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Sherman and Hulda Brown Shaffer; and his siblings, Louise Fenton, Lucille White and Merle Shaffer.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Wiltrout Shaffer; his sons, Bill Shaffer (Kelly) of Hunker, Ken Shaffer and Chris Landy of Laurelville; his grandchildren, Cara Shaffer, Brian Shaffer (Katelyn) and Kenny Landy; and his great grandchildren, Briella and Beckham.
