She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Ruffing and Anna Ruffing (Hartig); her husband Joseph Shash; her daughter Linda A. Holman (Ronald) of Nashville, TN; and her siblings, William L., John H., Dottie and Marcella Buric.
She is survived by: her children, Gary J. (Harriet) of Boston, PA, Valerie M. Hensley (Stephen) of North Versailles, Joseph L. (Jill) of Monessen, PA and Christina L. Pallini (Jeff) of Green Bay, WI; and her sister Anna Marie Clark of White Oak. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
