He is survived by: his wife Carol Nunez Gates; his children, Julie Langsdorf (Michael) of North Huntingdon, PA and Carie Smith (William) of North Huntingdon, PA; his grandchild Christian Langsdorf; his daughter Rachel Langsdorf; and his brother Michael Gates (Mary Pat) of Conemaugh, PA.
