She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Bendl and Philomena Bendl of Latrobe, PA.; her husband Ralph A. Benson; and her siblings, Joseph, Anthony, Richard, Lewis, Marie Monaco, Regina Bendl, Rose Umansky, Catherine Sweeney and Ruth Myers.
She is survived by: her sons, Ralph A. Benson Jr. (Jane) of Bethel, OH, Lewis B. Benson (Linda) of Sewickley, Joseph G. Benson (Martha) of Murrysville and John F. Benson of White Oak; her grandchildren, Anne Louise Benson of East Rochester, John Robert Benson (Shannon) of Portland, Joshua Arnott Benson of Austin, Joseph William Benson of Murrysville and Emily Benson Reis (Patrick) of Howell, Michigan; her great grandchildren, Vincent Benson, Joseph Patrick Reis, Julie Therese Reis, Gemma Marie Reis, Gianna Faustina Reis, Bella Lucia Reis and Michael Paul Reis; and her caregiver Ensign. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jaycox Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory (2703 Oneil Blvd, McKeesport, PA 15132). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mother of God Parish (2701 Kelly St, White Oak, PA 15131).
In lieu of flowers, Mathilda suggested memorial contributions be made to one's favorite charity or to St. Angela Merici Church.
