It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Sawchak of White Oak, Pennsylvania, born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 27, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Nelson Kunes and Helen Kunes (Ruckman); her husband Steve Sawchak; her siblings, Jack Kunes and Jean Baird; her grandparents, Jenny and James Ruckman of McKeesport; her cousin Loretta "Dolly" Booth; her daughters, Stephanie Budd (Joe) of White Oak, Kathleen Shidel (Tim) of Allison Park and Linda Bennett (Michael); her grandchildren, Jessica Schaefer (Karl) of Pittsburgh, Joey Budd (Kristin) of Penn Twp, Hillary Bennett (Kyle Walread-Sullivan) of Leesburg, VA and Ryan Bennett (Hannah) of Bethel Park; and her great grandchildren, Blake Budd and Luke Walread-Sullivan. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
