He was predeceased by: his parents, Merrian Johnston and Mary Johnston (Morgan); his wife Phyllis Johnston (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Baby Charles, Baby King and Baby Quinlan; and his sister Mary Louise.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl McGraw (Reed), Rebecca Mihaljevic (John) and Maryl Higgins; his grandchildren, Reed, Terra (Jason), Carla, Derrick (Genaida), Aaron (Jen), Amanda (Sean), Jeremy and Zach; and his great grandchildren, Noah, Xavier, Madyson, Aubre, Olivia, Charlotte, Kathryn, Benjamin and Beau.
