He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Perch Melnyk; his children, Anne Melnyk-Carricato (Michael) of White Haven, Barbara Sitko (J. P.) of Nescopeck and Peter Melnyk Jr. (Amanda); his grandchildren, Ava and Jay Sitko; and his sister Virginia Melnyk. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
