He is survived by: his mother Gertrude Examitas; his son Joseph Examitas (Tina); his grandchildren, Noah, Emily and Lydia; and his siblings, Bonnie Heiler of Shenandoah, Richard Examitas of Shenandoah and David Examitas of Florida. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
