She was predeceased by: her parents, William C. Brown Jr. and Dorothea C. Brown (Plunkett). She is survived by: her husband Rev. Ronald Smith; her daughters, Deborah Uhrie and Wendy DeStasio; her stepchildren, Jennifer D. Smith and Brian S. Smith; her siblings, Kevin D. Brown and Loretta E. Wikan; her grandchildren, Meghan (Steven Uhrie), Allison (Michael DeStasio), Aaron, Michael (Haley Courter) and Grant (Julia Smith); and her great grandchildren, Gage and Elliot Courter.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Barbara's memory to the ALS Hope Foundation "Barbara's Blessings" P.O. Box 40777 Philadelphia PA 19107 or to her church.
