He was predeceased by: his parent John C. Sr.; his son Michael T. Heckman; and his siblings, John C. Heckman Jr., Harold Heckman, Jean Baker and Jessie Mae Prowant.
He is survived by: his parent Catherine Heckman (Nitterhouse); his wife Polly; his daughter Jeanette "Jan" Hanlon of New Columbia; his brothers, Guy Heckman of Milton and William Heckman of Muncy; his grandchildren, Saranda Fritz (Brungard), Kalicia Brungard, Michael "Tony" Heckman and Stephen Heckman; and his great grandchildren, Lydia, Lucas and Evalynn Fritz.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the American Legion Post 71, 401 N. Front St., Milton, PA 17847.
