He was predeceased by: his spouse Georgia Heil (Medvitz). He is survived by: his children, Kelly Ortmann (Mike) and Raeann Cameron (Tom); his grandchildren, Lindsey Ortmann, Tyler Ortmann, Ryan, Matthew, Steven and Adam Cameron; and his siblings, Robert, Regis, Richard Heil, Tess Johnston and Carolyn Medvitz.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Allegheny County Parks Foundation.
