With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Christopher Steel Thompson Jr. of Wexford, Pennsylvania, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on November 3, 2024 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher Steel Thompson, Sr. and Hilda Thompson (Carlson); his wife Catherine Thompson (Ladley); and his brother Carl Carlson Thompson. He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Mary Knopp of Port Orange, FL, Linda Taylor (Bill) of Richmond, VA, David Thompson (Peggy) of Camden, SC and Chris Thompson of Orlando, FL; his close friends, Harvey Holecy and Dave Schlosser; and his dog-friends, Rosie and Sandy. He is also survived by his great-nieces and nephews; his great-great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. - Cranberry Township (130 Wisconsin Ave, Cranberry Twp, PA 16066). The military honors was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church (2662 Rochester Rd, Cranberry Twp, PA 16066).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chris' honor to the Richland American Legion, Post 548, P.O. Box 171, Bakerstown, PA 15007.
