With solemn reverence, we commemorate Margaret A. Makara of Weston, Pennsylvania, whose life came to an end on February 3, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Krutz and Anna Krutz (Kakalecik); her husband John J. Makara, Sr.; her son John J. Makara, Jr.; and her siblings, Agnes, Helen, Ann, Laurel, Jean, John, Stephen, Nicholas, Joseph, Edward and Samuel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Pasdon (Jan) and Lorraine Knelly (Thomas); her goddaughter Theresa Sency (James); her daughter-in-law Betty Makara; her granddaughters, Amy Bolinsky (Marc) and Christine Ratkiewicz (Frank); her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Bolinsky (Colton), Kaylee Bolinsky and Garrett Ratkiewicz; her siblings, Marie Terpak (Mayfield), NJ and Frederick Krutz; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Makara of Greenville, SC and Enes Palushock. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West) (1265 Rock Glen Rd, Rock Glen, PA 18246). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Sacred Heart RC Church (554 Main St, Weston, PA 18256). A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at the Sacred Heart RC Cemetery (554 Main St, Weston, PA 18256).
