He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Jesse C. and Elizabeth Murphy (Taylor); his wife Jane L. Murphy (Hunt); and his siblings, Rev. Elvin S. Murphy, Xelva Cottom and Eleanor Beck.
He is survived by: his daughter Donna M. Porter (Bobby) of Houston, TX; his grandson David Porter (Keri); his great grandchildren, Caden, Caffrey and Coen Porter; and his siblings-in-law, James L. Hunt (Shirley) of Florida and Estella "Sally" Vicelli (Bill) of Westmoreland City. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to the current pandemic, services and interment will be private.
